Ever since the 2nd Stakeholders’Forum met in Barcelona, different promotional activities for the TEN-T project CLYMA (the Development of the Lyon – Madrid axis on the TEN-T Mediterranean Corridor) have begun to take place throughout the continent. Such was the case during SITL (Semaine International du Transport et de la Logistique) Europe, which took place between the 1st and the 4th of April in Paris – the most important event of the continent in terms of transport and logistics and a must for professionals in this field. The annual exhibition brings together a whole range of innovative products and services dedicated to the supply chain and distribution activities, and which since its launch has become the biggest gathering of transport and logistics users from the industry, serving the entire community of goods transporters and suppliers of logistics services in Europe . The CLYMA project was represented at MP² (Syndicat Mixte Plateforme Multimodale Pyrénées-Méditerranée)’s and Port of Barcelona stands, where its promotional materials were displayed and distributed. In its 2015 edition, SITL Europe and Intralogistics have featured 495 exhibitors and welcomed more than 25.400 professional participants.
Currently CLYMA is represented at the MedFel 2015, the professional trade fair dedicated to the Mediterranean fruit and vegetable sector, which is being held from the 21st until the 23rd of April in Perpignan (France). The project is being promoted by MP² and the Port of Barcelona. Moreover, another partner of the project, the Port of Tarragona will be also promote it at the Transport Logistic 2015 exhibition in Munich, to be held from 5th to 8th May.
The CLYMA project is co-financed by INEA (previously the TEN-T EA) and consists of the implementation of a corridor approach to a section of the Mediterranean Corridor, concretely to the Lyon – Madrid Axis between France and Spain. The Action is comprised of studies on the organization and optimal implementation of the TEN-T network, environmental aspects, identification of the main problems, bottlenecks, etc.
CLYMA project partners are: ALIA, the Maritime Terminal of Zaragoza, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Port of Barcelona, the Port of Tarragona, Portic Barcelona S.A, Syndicat Mixte Plate-forme Pyrénées-Mediterranée, and VIIA.
